Visit USA, Mexico & Brazil on an epic Formula 1 trip in 2021
Experience three of Formula 1’s most exciting races in 2021. Start planning your trip to Austin, Mexico City and São Paulo later this year.
When does Formula 1 visit Austin, Mexico City Grand Prix and São Paulo this year?
- 21-24 October: 2021 United States Grand Prix
- 4-7 November: 2021 Mexico City Grand Prix
- 11-14 November: 2021 São Paulo Grand Prix
Please note that the 2021 Mexico City Grand Prix and 2021 São Paulo Grand Prix will now take place one week later than originally planned.
Why should I attend these races?
It’s the first time in F1 history that races in North America, Central America and South America are being staged one after another. A perfect opportunity, in other words, to experience three of Formula 1’s best cities and most exciting races in under four weeks. Geographic proximity makes attending the races even easier, especially the relatively short distance between Austin and Mexico City. There’s also more than enough time to discover new destinations in between your race weekends, with beaches, jungles, cultural sites and historic cities among the myriad travel destinations that can be included as part of your extended trip.
How to travel from race to race?
Austin and Mexico City are separated by a distance of around 1000 miles (1600km) and whilst it is possible to drive between the two cities, we recommend flying. There are currently no direct flights between Austin and Mexico City, but the flying time with a short connection in Houston is less than 5 hours. Another option would be to fly direct from Austin to one of Mexico’s popular resort towns like Cancún or Cabo for a beach holiday before taking another short flight to Mexico City. The distance from Mexico City to São Paulo is much greater. Direct flights with airlines such as LATAM and Aeromexico take just under 10 hours. Don’t forget that Rio de Janeiro is only 280 miles (450km) from São Paulo. If you want to visit Brazil’s most famous city on your trip, it may make sense to book your flights home from there.
Practical Considerations
Depending on your nationality, you may need entry visas for the USA, Mexico and Brazil. Given that the best accommodation on race weekends tends to sell out quickly, we recommend booking your accommodation at the same time as your Official Ticket Package. F1 Experiences offers rooms at some of the best local hotels in Austin, Mexico City and São Paulo, with the added convenience of daily transfers to and from the circuit for our hotel guests. 2021 United States Grand Prix | 21-24 October
Your trip starts in the capital of Texas, Austin. Considered one of the coolest cities in the USA, Austin is famed for its live music scene, tex-mex restaurants and outdoor attractions. Located on the outskirts of the city, the undulating Circuit of The Americas (COTA) has been home to the United States Grand Prix since 2012. Modelled on some of the world’s classic circuits, COTA offers panoramic trackside views and exciting racing. After the race was absent from the Formula 1 calendar last year, interest has been very high from fans keen to return to Circuit of The Americas this year and packages are selling fast. F1 Experiences offers grandstand and hospitality ticket packages at COTA, along with exciting events such as the Haas Hangout and the chance to meet the stars of Formula 1 – Kimi Räikkönen and Lando Norris are already confirmed for appearances this year.

Mexico City Grand Prix | 4-7 November
Next up, your trip takes you to the bustling capital of Mexico, a historic city that’s home to almost 10 million people and situated 2250 metres above sea level. We recommend arriving in Mexico City a few days before you head to the track, not only to see some of the sights, but also to adjust to the much higher altitude! Since returning to Formula 1 in 2015, the Mexico City Grand Prix has become one of the best attended races on the calendar. Soak up the atmosphere as the local fans cheer on their hero Sergio Pérez for Red Bull this year. F1 Experiences offers a range of Official Ticket Packages at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, including grandstand seats in the Foro Sol stadium complex and all-inclusive hospitality in the Formula 1 Paddock Club.

São Paulo Grand Prix | 11-14 November
The third and final leg of your epic Formula 1 trip through the Americas takes you to cosmopolitan São Paulo, the largest city in South America and birthplace of the legendary Ayrton Senna. There’s something for everyone in the city that locals call Sampa, from the cultural sights of the historic centre to the sprawling Ibirapuera Park (São Paulo’s answer to Central Park) and the district of Liberdade, a slice of Tokyo in a city that’s home to more than 1.5 million Japanese residents. The Interlagos circuit in the suburbs of the city has been the home of the Brazilian Grand Prix for almost 50 years, and very rarely fails to deliver an exciting race! F1 Experiences is already on sale with the F1 Paddock Club for this year’s race, and more ticket packages will be going on sale soon.
