F1® Experiences Transportation: Booked accommodation along with your Official Ticket Package from F1® Experiences? Daily transfers to and from the circuit can be added to your Official Ticket Package for an additional cost.
Train: The most popular way to get to the circuit. Monza train station is served by suburban train lines S8, S9 and S11. Trains depart from Milano Centrale or Milano Porto Garibaldi train stations. Monza train station is around 5km from the circuit entrance. Trains also travel from Milano Porto Garibaldi to the Biassono-Lesmo station at the top of the circuit on all days (S7 line in the direction of Lecco). On race day only, these are express trains.
Bus: If you are staying in Milan, you can also take the metro to Sesto1 Maggio FS, then the Z221 local bus to Monza.
Driving: Driving to the circuit is an option, but local traffic can become very congested on race weekend. Blue and Purple Shuttle buses connect the outlying parking areas with the circuit. Don’t leave any items of value in your car when it is parked at the circuit.
Taxi: A Taxi/Uber from central Milan to Monza on race weekend should cost around €40-60 each way, though surge pricing can increase fares at peak times. appTaxi is a useful app to avoid language barriers when calling a taxi. Uber also operates in Milan and Monza, but only the more expensive Black version.
Milan’s main international airport is Milan-Malpensa (MXP). Located approximately 40km from the centre of Milan, Milan-Malpensa serves hundreds of international, European and Italian routes daily from both flag carriers and discount airlines. Regular train and bus services connect the airport to central Milan.
Milan’s second airport, just 8km from the city centre, is called Milano-Linate (LIN). A hub for Italian carrier Alitalia, Milano-Linate mainly serves Italian domestic routes and short European flights. The airport is well connected to central Milan by train (lines S5, S6, S9) and public bus number 73.
Milan’s third airport is located in nearby Bergamo, approximately 50km away. Bergamo Orio Al Serio Airport (BGY) is a major hub for Ryanair, which serves 50 destinations from here. The best way to get from Bergamo Airport to central Milan is to take one of the regular buses run by Terravision, which take around 1 hour and cost as little as €5 each way. With regular trains to Monza, Bergamo is also a popular place to stay for the Italian Grand Prix.
If you’ve got access to the Champions Club or the Formula One Paddock Club™, you’ll need to make more of an effort to “look the part” than in a grandstand. Smart casual dress is recommended, which means long pants and a shirt or polo shirt for men and a dress, skirt or pants for women. The Champions Club and Formula One Paddock Club request that no jogging suits, shorts or beach attire be worn.
Read Your Ultimate Checklist for a Day at the Track for more information about what to wear to the track.
Please contact your sales representative or call for more information about our available hotels for the Italian Grand Prix.
