What are the Formula 1 World Championship™ trophies?

The stunning silver trophies, engraved with the names of all World Champion drivers and constructors since the advent of the Formula 1 World Championship™ in 1950, are presented to the winning driver and team during the FIA’s annual prize-giving ceremony at the end of every season. Unlike the trophies awarded on the F1® Podium for race victories, the World Championship-winning driver and team don’t get to hold on to these one-of-a-kind trophies. They remain in the possession of Formula 1mthroughout the year and travel to every race under strict security protocols – look, but don’t touch!

What is a Championship Trophy Photo?

This is your opportunity to get a photo taken while posing with the Formula 1 World Championship™ trophies awarded each year to the winning driver and team. Your photo, which will be taken on the track and maybe even at the Starting Grid, is captured by our professional photographer and sent to you after the race.

Not many people get a chance to see the Formula 1 World Championship™ trophies, let alone pose for a photo with them! You’ll also be able to spend some time on the iconic Formula 1® track, and your Championship Trophy Photo represents a precious memento of your unforgettable weekend getting closer to F1® with F1® Experiences.

When does the Championship Trophy Photo get taken?

The photo can take place at many different times throughout the weekend, depending on you package type. It may take place on Thursday or Friday evening, before or after the Exclusive Pit Lane Walk and Guided Track Tour that is also included with Fan Experience Ticket Packages. For guests of the Champions Club, which takes place on Friday or Saturday evening on the Starting Grid. 

If you purchase a package which includes a Championship Trophy Photo, all timings will be confirmed and communicated, prior to the race weekend.
