What is Formula 2™ and Formula 3™?

Formula 2™ (F2™) and Formula 3™ (F3™) are the official feeder series running alongside Formula 1® on select Grand Prix weekends. Serving as the ultimate proving ground for emerging motorsport talent, these races pit the stars of tomorrow against one another in closely matched machinery. F3™ focuses on refining raw driving skill with standardized components, while F2™ acts as the final step before F1®, featuring 620-horsepower cars, DRS, and pit strategy designed to prepare drivers for the highest level of motorsport.

F1® standouts like Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Lando Norris, and Oscar Piastri all established their reputations in these junior categories, making them essential viewing for fans tracking future World Champions.
