EXPLAINED - What is a Pit Lane Walk?

One of F1® Experiences’ most popular inclusions, a Pit Lane Walk gets you up-close and personal with the cars, garages and personnel in the F1® Pit Lane.

What is a Pit Lane Walk?

During a Pit Lane Walk, you will normally have between 30-60 minutes to walk up and down the famed Pit Lane and get a close-up look into each F1® Team's Garage. This is a great opportunity to get close to the cars as the F1® Teams prepare for each on-track session. There’s a good chance you’ll catch some of the teams practising their pit stops and it’s also not uncommon for our guests to bump into Drivers, Team Principals, and media during their Pit Lane Walk.

F1® Experiences offers a couple of opportunities to go on a Pit Lane Walk, depending on the race and the Ticket Package options that are available. These options includes:

Promoter Pit Lane Walk

Typically held on Thursday, this Pit Lane Walk is hosted by the track promoter and will include guests from F1® Experiences and the Promoter.

F1® Experiences-Exclusive Pit Lane Walk

Taking place for F1® Experiences' guests only, when the track is closed to the general public, typically on a Thursday or Friday of the race weekend!

Paddock Club™ Pit Lane Walk

Scheduled throughout the race weekend, with access only available for guests of the F1 Paddock Club™.

Why is it worth attending a Pit Lane Walk?

In contrast to the often overcrowded public Pit Lane Walk that many circuits also organise on Thursday, you will not have to fight for a good view in the Pit Lane or queue for hours to get access. Pit Lane Walks included with F1 Experiences Ticket Packages are only open to a limited guests, or those in the F1 Paddock Club™, and numbers are strictly limited to ensure a good experience for everyone.

When does a Pit Lane Walk take place?

The Promoter Pit Lane Walk and the Exclusive Pit Lane Walk are normally the first activities at the track on race weekend, and generally take place on Thursday afternoon or early evening and can be combined with a Guided Track Tour and Championship Trophy Photo opportunity, depending on your race and choice of Ticket Package. In some cases, these activities may take place on a Friday. Paddock Club™ Pit Lane Walks take place throughout the weekend, one or two times per day in between track sessions.

If you purchase a package which includes a Pit Lane Walk, all timings will be confirmed and communicated, prior to the race weekend.
