Casino Square

Getting There


To/From the Airport: With Monaco being a sea-side country, you can arrive to the beautiful city from land, air, or sea. The closest airport is Nice, France which is only a 30-minute drive along the coast from a taxi, or enjoy a quick ride with the TER getting to enjoy ocean views the entire way. To get the full Monte Carlo experience, renting a helicopter from Nice to Monte Carlo is another option. USEFUL TIP: If you’re the adventurous sort and decide to drive entirely to Monaco, be sure to bring enough for the tolls along the way.

Taking the train to see more of Monaco or its neighboring countries of France or Italy can be a simple afternoon or day trip depending on your time in the region. The central station in Monaco located behind the Sainte Decote corner allows for easy access to adventure the country side. Tickets cost under €4 each way unless there are too many people on the platform and the access becomes restricted.

Buses are another popular option for traveling around Monte Carlo. It’s a popular route for getting from the Nice Airport to the centre of Monaco as well at only €4 per passenger.


Circuit de Monte-Carlo

Opening in 1950 as a street race, Monte Carlo is one of the longest standing, and therefore most popular of the Formula 1® racing circuit. With 78 laps and a circuit length of 3.337km, drivers have the challenge of a tight course with even tighter turns.
