Exclusive Pit Lane Walk & Guided Track Tour

Starter, Trophy, Hero and Premier guests kicked off their weekend on Thursday evening with an Exclusive Pit Lane Walk at Circuit Paul Ricard, where we got closer to the teams as they prepped the cars for the weekend and practiced their pit stop routine. Our guests also hopped aboard the flatbed truck used for the Formula 1 Drivers’ Parade for a memorable lap of the circuit and had their photo taken with a big red gorilla on the Formula 1 podium!

Paddock Club Reception with Romain Grosjean

Romain Grosjean from the Haas F1 Team made a special guest appearance on Friday night in the Formula 1 Paddock Club. Speaking in both French and English for our multinational group of Hero and Trophy Ticket Package holders, the Swiss-French driver talked about how special it is to once again have his home race on the F1 calendar.

We also headed into the pit lane on Friday night for F1 Insider Access, where we met Formula 1 Safety Car Driver Bernd Mayländer and had the chance to get behind the wheel of the Mercedes AMG GT R that he drives on race weekends. We also stopped at the Haas garage for some insights from Elizabeth Muth into the only American-based team on the F1 grid and met Jeremy Appleton from Alpinestars, who told us all about the race suits that keep the drivers safe and comfortable behind the wheel. Finally, our guests had the chance to step on to the Formula 1 podium and have their photo taken by our photographer, Mark Sutton.

Guided Paddock Access

Our Champions Club and Paddock Club guests were taken for a special tour of the Formula 1 Paddock at Circuit Paul Ricard, where we had interactions (chats, selfies and autographs!) with some of the biggest names in the sport, including current stars Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Charles Leclerc and Daniel Ricciardo. We also ran into plenty of retired legends, including Jackie Stewart, Alain Prost, Damon Hill, Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber.

Formula 1 Paddock Club

Located right above the team garages at Circuit Paul Ricard and also featuring a panoramic roof terrace, the Formula 1 Paddock Club did not disappoint! Our guests enjoyed fine dining and all-day drinks plus special guest appearances from the top drivers, daily pit lane walks and truck tours of the circuit.

Champions Club

Situated in a permanent building overlooking the final corners of the circuit, the Champions Club was a definite hit with our guests. The trackside views from the roof terrace and dedicated grandstand seats were excellent and we also welcomed several special guests over the weekend; ex-Ferrari driver Jean Alesi, who finished a fine fourth on his race debut at the circuit 30 years ago, joined us on Saturday and we learnt more about the business side of Formula 1 from Antoine Magnan from Renault before the race on Sunday.

Easy Access

With a robust mobility plan in place for 2019, the traffic issues that caused big delays for many fans when the French Grand Prix returned last year were quickly forgotten. With access to a special VIP lane, the F1 Experiences coach from the AC Hotel in Marseille took less than 1 hour to travel to and from the circuit over the weekend, and only a little longer after the race finished on Sunday. Our other guests were able to reach the circuit by private car (free trackside parking, or Park and Ride from La Ciotat), taxi/Uber or a specially-organized bus from select nearby cities.

Official Ticket Packages for the 2020 French Grand Prix are now on sale. Early bird pricing is only available until 24 July, so don’t delay. We hope to see you on the Côte d'Azur next year!
